This particular rug is likely from 1980s it is vintage and their are signs of use. I have taken photos of the front and back. I believe you can treat the marks with a removal fluid and then wash the rug. I wouldn't be surprised if you could wash it on a cold wash in large machine, or use a wet vacuum, or professional cleaner of course. I have to say that the rug us actually still in pretty good usable form as is, the one side is almost entirely free of marks and you could easily clean those up if need be. So all in all this rug is in fantastic condition and can be used as is, depending on how you feel about the odd mark.
