Very lovely large vintage oriental vase shaped table lamp, hand painted, Japanese style design - working condition

A very attractive and delicately decorated vintage table lamp. Lovely botanical and insect painted decoration on a well made white ceramic base - very likely hand painted. Lovely details including butterflies and grasshopper. Sits atop a lovely wooden base, with aged brass lid.

Wonderful vase shape - classically oriental shaped lamp. And the decoration is so pretty - a slightly unusual painted decoration for an oriental lamp. Insects! but they are in amongst some lotus flowers and others.

A good sized lamp - perfect as a statement lamp on a corner table, or on a hallway stand. Match with a large Empire or Bell shaped shade - pick out a colour or two from the lovely base. it really is a superb lamp to enjoy and in great condition - the lid and bayonet fitment are aged and tarnished, but the ceramic and wooden base a in vgc, minor marks commensurate with age.
