Very Large Impressive Vintage Brass Oriental Decorative Wall Mirror.
What an impressive mirror this is, I would date it from the 60s or the 70s. It is made of solid brass.
I think originally it would have had a lacquer and this is worn in a number of places especially towards the bottom so it has a very lovely aged appearance.
Towards the bottom of the mirror there is more evidence of the erosion of the lacquer as the brass has darkened a little. This will clean up with brasso and a very fine wire wool. In all honesty I think it looks fantastic as it is.
The frame is obviously very ornate and is fully intact.
The glass is very well preserved and in good condition, this is a good quality thick glass so there is a good finish to this mirror.
It has been recently replaced by some block board to the back which helps to maintain the sturdiness.
There is an eyelet to the top for hanging.
This is an incredibly imposing mirror, it would look fantastic and pretty much any room.
