An Italian, high quality Alabaster Table Lamp. Marble Lamp. Vintage, likely 1960s. In excellent condition and in working order. This lamp has a wonderful neo-classical shape, with the urn like middle on top of a tiered square base, lots of carved detail. Truly lovely. Sold as working. Large - great as a statement lamp in a larger space.
The lamp stands 45cm tall and the square base it sits on is approx 13cm square. The rounded middle is also 13cm in diameter. Lovely in its proportions and super attractive. Very elegant. Still has the Made in Italy sticker underside - I would date it as 1950s/60s. These types of neo-classical lamps were part of a wider revival for times gone by.
The alabaster is in very good condition. Tiny scratches in one or two hardly noticeable places. No chips, cracks etc. Wiring is more up to date with the right fuse, 3 core cable and up to date plug. It has not however been professionally tested.
