This is an outstanding late Victorian mahogany piano stool, beautifully crafted by expert craftsmen in the late 19th to early 20th century. While originally designed as a piano stool, it would make a stylish and versatile occasional seat anywhere in the home.
Features & Condition
Exquisite fretwork-style decorations on both the front and back.
The wood is fully intact, with strong joints, ensuring the stool remains sturdy. There is a looseness to one of the handrails, a century of weight! However, it is perfectly fit for purpose. There is a small dent to the top of the other hand rail.
Some wear to the finish, particularly on the handles, and general signs of use commensurate with age.
Likely reupholstered in the 1980s or 1990s to a high standard. However, there are four small black dot marks, shown in the images.
The original bottom of the inner storage compartment is missing and has been replaced with a repurposed panel from an old music cabinet drawer, which has been securely fitted—fully functional but not original.
This is not only a highly attractive antique piece but also well-preserved and of exceptional quality.

Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
