Is a very pretty and good quality magazine rack.
It is stamped ‘John Watts Ltd Sheffield’ to the underside.
I would guess it is maybe pre-war.
It is made of a thick quality yacht board which has been veneered in mahogany.
The edges have been painted in gold to match the decorative feature on either side.
You may want to give this a polish, but otherwise this is in very good condition with no problems to report.
Interestingly the front two panels with a gold decoration both lift out of their slots so you can dust and clean inside.
These racks are so practical hand are the perfect solution for tidying up your living room or bedroom a little bit and getting all those papers and magazines off the floor.
