A very lovely and unusual vintage retro table lamp. Tall brass lamp in altar style, with a lovely solid wooden base. An attractive lamp and somewhat different. The lamp has a switch on the side for on off, and the base is a golden coloured wood, and the metal has a ring of silver around it near the top of the stem. The contours and shape of this tall lamp are superb, creating and overall artistic effect. Sold as working.
The lamp is in great condition - the metal has a scuffed finish to it, which could be from age and use, or it could be how it is. Could also be where someone has given it a really good scrub at some point. I don't think it detracts at all from the lamp which whilst elegant is also very functional and has a industrial type feel to it too. Unusual as I say.
The lamp is sold as working but has not been professioanlly tested. The lamp is tall and would look super in all sorts of rooms - it could carry off quite a statement lamp shade if you so wish. I date it to the 70s, but it could fit into somewhere more contemporary or even traditional and classic.
