Unusual Ash Vintage Victorian Stool with Inner Compartment Top Quality and Beautifully Made Perfect for Hallway Stool Key Storage Piano Stool.
This is a very high quality piece of furniture and quite unusual.
It would seem to be a piano stool, but I think it is too low. I think it would be perfect in a hallway where you can sit and put your shoes on and also you can chuck your keys in the compartment.
However it is very much shaped as a piano stool, albeit, slightly low, although cushions will raise the height.
This is made of ash, which is quite an unusual wood to be used in furnishings. It has a pine sort of colour but is a far higher quality wood. It is a hard word and this has been made beautifully hence it is still completely robust.
The edges of the surface have been stained in a dark colour.
Distinctive ball and claw feet.
The condition is very good, there is a darker mark to the top surface that you can see in the images and it would certainly benefit from a polish if you want it to be pristine, so please take a good look at all of the images and utilise the zoom facility to get a good look.
Lifts up and you can see there is a beautifully presented and clean storage section.
