Unique Vintage Bespoke Mahogany Standard Lamp Old Ship’s Decoration The actual column is really old. Possibly 18th Century. There is evidence that it was once part of some house architectural wooden decoration as there are two historical joints, shown in the images. The general consensus at the auction I purchased two of these lamps from was that the column was from an old ship. However this is no guarantee! The base looks like it was added to it early 20th Century. Wonderful aged finish to it, there are some ancient worm holes. There are lots of photos so take a good peak. Wiring really old so I would strongly suggest getting it rewired. The wire is simply nailed to the fluted column. The top part comes off and the wire feeds through, I hope you can work it out in the images ! Height to the base of the bayonet 55.25 in
