Unique Upcycled Nest of Part Oak Occasional Side Coffee Tables.
The legs are solid oak. The tops were veneered with oak but the finishes really badly stained. I set about sanding then down but discovered the surfaces were just a thin veneer. But as I hit the plywood carcass I liked the the shapes and marks left by the wearing down of the thin layers and the almost marble shabby chic finish. So rather than paint I applied three coats of Danish oil to leave a light golden finish.
There are some marks to the bases but a basically sound and in good condition….you may well want to paint them.
Great as nest or broken up and used around the house.
