Hand Painted Bespoke Mirror in Farrow and Ball White and French Chic Grey
A mirror, probably from the 1980's.
Wooden frame with glass that is in good condition.
The frame is painted in a primer, then two coats of Farrow and Ball Winborne White estate eggshell and then a single coat of French Chic 'Wolf Whistle' light grey chalk paint.
I have then gently wiped over the grey with a damp cloth and this has left a sort of 'grey washed' effect where the grey and white underneath battle for prominence in view.
To varnish we use a ‘Polyvine’ varnish.
This is a child, pet and food safe varnish.
We apply two coats of a ‘dead flat finish’ and a ‘satin finish’ so the finish has a sheen to it.
