A lovely trio of three original oil paintings. Likely from the 1970s ... different artists, possibly a selection from an art school as two of the landscapes/subjects could be of the similar scene. They are actually quite good paintings if they are from an art school ... very detailed and they bring the scenes to life. Two are of cottages in the country / forest, and one is of a coastal or lake scene with mountains, water, boats etc.
The two smaller paintings are of the country cottage/s in a forest or woodland/country setting. The small one only shows one cottage and a large tree, the medium painting shows the scene from further back and includes two cottages/cabins, more trees and a river or lake in the foreground. The detail of the cottages, flowers, trees is quite lovely on both. The largest painting is a different scene, possibly abroad, as the hills in the distant look arid, and the village on the lake shore looks more Mediterranean than British. This is a particular attractive painting and is very scenic reminding you of holidays etc.
The three paintings are all horizontal in presentation and range in size - they are quite big with the smallest measuring 80cm x 40cm. As mentioned above, they are all accomplished paintings so could easily be framed and displayed or of course left as rustic framed canvas paintings.
There is some damage or wear to the paintings in some shape or another, the largest has a tear, and a couple of holes; the middle has a tiny hole and the edges are worn/marked, the smallest has some marks/staining which might clean off. Besides the larger tear, they are all presentable. You can see details in the photos.
Two of the paintings are signed, the middle one is by an artist called Arlas, and the largest is by an artist whose signature is present but I have not been able to decipher it. The smallest doesn't have a signature.
I hope you can appreciate these lovely original art pieces, and can see how they might be mended or cleaned ready for display. They are lovely and authentic and examples of accomplished amateur artists.
