Top Quality Vintage Victorian Set of 4 Mahogany Upholstered Dining Chairs Superb Carved Detail.

Here is a lovely top quality set of mahogany dining chairs.
The two top features of these chairs are the superb carvings to the backrests and the superb quality and indeed condition of the upholstery.
The chairs are late Victorian and made of mahogany. The most important thing about them is that they are all sturdy. Top tip here, if you're reading listings about vintage chairs and it does not say whether they are sturdy or wobbly it is best to assume that they are wobbly!
The frames are intact and still have the original finish. You will see to some edges there is wear and you can see the lighter original bare wood.
This may of course put some of you off however I think it looks nice to have the original age worn vintage look to it which adds charm and authenticity.
There are a few signs of historical repair in places but these are accomplished repairs and not visible unless you really look for them.
The spring mechanism to the seats is working as intended and the seats are firm but very comfortable. They have been reupholstered, it looks like not too long ago, and this has been carried out to a very high standard and the upholstery is very well preserved and looks hardly used. That is a single small dark mark to the front of one seat, other than that the condition of the material is near to perfect.
Yes, there are some other various surface marks and marks commensurate with age to the actual frames but I would consider on the whole chairs to be a set of top quality chairs with beautiful newish upholstery.
I hope you can notice in the photo of all four seats that one seat is not quite as thick as the other three which frankly when they're dotted around the table will never notice,
