A delightful trio of wooden carvings. African in origin although I am afraid I can't say what would and where they might have been made. Lovely carvings really showing the authentic cultural nature of this figurines. All three appear to be of men, two are smoking a pipe of sorts and one is sitting waiting for a drink.
They have been carved really well, and then polished in places giving the wood the most beautiful soft touch and sheen. It almost seems like stone at times. Unfortunately the stand that two sit on are broken - one at the front and one at the back. I don't think this is a problem as they still stand well and the one with the broken edge at the back, certainly doesn't appear to be that noticeable. They are otherwise in vgc.
Lovely as a gift perhaps, to yourself or someone else. Super examples of what is possible with a natural resource and a bit of talent!
