Pretty & Practical 1920s Oak Corner Cupboard

This charming 1920s oak corner cupboard is both beautiful and highly practical. Despite being made of oak, it is surprisingly lightweight due to its plywood back and efficient design, which uses minimal wood.

Its slim profile makes it a versatile piece, perfect for fitting into small, unused corners of your home, adding both storage and display space.

The cupboard retains its original dark-stained finish, which is in excellent condition. Inside, the shelves are lined with patterned cloth that shows signs of age, including some discoloration and a notable dot mark on the right-hand side. While this could potentially be removed, it adds to the character and authenticity of the piece.

A unique feature of this cupboard is that the left-hand door does not open. Whether this was an intentional design choice to protect the glass is unclear, but given the compact interior, its functionality isn’t affected. In fact, this design helps keep the right-hand door securely shut, as its catch sits neatly behind the fixed left door.

The standout feature of this cupboard is its stunning leaded glass door, adorned with delicate Art Nouveau green motifs, adding a touch of period charm.

The top is secured with two pins at the front, and the back panel, while not attached, serves its purpose by preventing items from falling behind.

Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales only.

This will cost us between £60-80 so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
It will take about 2 weeks.
