Superb Vintage Victorian Stripped Pine Sideboard or Chest of Drawers FREE HAND Delivery

This is an outstanding Victorian stripped pine sideboard.

But also perfect as a bedroom chest of drawers.

It was hand-stripped in the 1960s or 1970s, so it has not gone through a tank of acid like 90% of stripped pine pieces. This means it has retained the beautiful patina developed over decades of polish.

The piece is very well made and completely intact. There are two splits in two of the large six bun feet. These do not affect the strength of the feet in any way. One split is on the front right and is visible, though only noticeable if you are specifically looking for it.

It features seven drawers, all of which run smoothly and are clean, with their original brass handles. The insides are all pine, and as is customary with drawer linings, there are minor splits in a few of them. These do not compromise the strength or functionality of the piece.

There is a lovely cupboard with the original key, which doubles as a handle. The key is still functional, which is an added bonus.

The exterior condition can be described as very good but age-worn. There are some inconsistencies in the finish and light markings, but these add vintage charm. Please take a close look at the images and use the zoom feature to see its very good condition. The markings contribute to its character and charm.

The sides show evidence of splits, and there is a small split on the top. However, the wood is thick, and these splits are purely aesthetic—they do not affect the strength or functionality of the piece.

This will cost us between £60-80 so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
