A superb example of the modernisation of furniture, An early example of the beginning of modular ‘in-one’ furniture. The floating surfaces perfect for the maintenance of a tidy bedroom eschewing the need for two cupboards sitting on the floor, a dream for anyone cleaning the bedroom floor.
I would suggest 1960’s or 70’s.
It is made of oak and veneer.
I am selling this as I found it. You may want to strip, paint or keep as is, so little point in me working on it and putting a potential customer off.
As is, there is wear to the finish commensurate with age.
The drawers are clean and run well.
The turned ends, the drawer fronts and other smaller areas are solid oak. The rest is the typical oak effect veneer on manmade wood, typical of Stag products.
The lighter length of wood is the original part that is attached to the wall. The frame then simply sits on top to your own preferred height. Mounting instructions are on the label on the rear.
