Superb Vintage Oval Chunky Gold Gilt Wall Mirror.
A beautiful early 20th century decorative oval mirror.
The frame is made of solid wood with a moulded covering I think a latterly applied gold finish. There are some tiny flaws underneath the finish that would suggest the gold has been applied over possibly another painted finish. There are a few flaws to the finish, but as you can see in the images, overall the finish is very good.
The glass is bevelled and original with some areas of black spotting, but nothing that does not add character and authenticity.
There is a boarded backing eyelets and wire, the frame is very sturdy.
This is very good quality with a good weight to it. Many mirrors of this age and style are quite lightweight and a poor imitation.
