Superb Vintage Mahogany Victorian Tapestry Glazed Fire Screen Ball and Claw Feet
A very impressive and top quality Victorian glazed fire screen.
This is made from beautiful top mahogany and the workmanship and quality of the joinery is absolutely superb. As such the screen is fully intact and robust. The mahogany has a dark stained finish to it.
Beautiful shape with wonderful decorative features, carvings, turnings and the ball and claw feet.
The screen is glazed with an understated yet exquisite still life embroidered motif. This, like the frame is still very well preserved.
The feet are still as robust as when it was first made and as such it stands well and solidly.
I cannot stress enough what a superb quality piece this is. It is not too ornate but very elegant and understated this would add some real class and vintage charm to your fireplace.

Disclaimer. Please note we have sold probably over 100 of these and I believe we've only had one where the glass has been broken by the couriers. If this does happen, we will refund you £30. I'm aware most of these screens are sold without glass and you have the option of replacing it. The ones without glass with would all have been glazed originally and I'm afraid it is just part and parcel of life that the glass can get broken. But they are perfectly functional without the glass.
