Superb Vintage Mahogany 50s Tapestry Glazed Fire Screen Still Life
This is a wonderful very high end top quality vintage fire screen.
I cannot be certain of the time of construction but I was suggest almost certainly the 1950s.
This is made from beautiful top quality mahogany and the workmanship and quality of the joinery is absolutely superb. As such the screen is fully intact and robust.
Lovely decorative features throughout.
The screen is glazed with an understated, yet exquisite still life embroidered motif. This, like the frame is still very well preserved.
The feet are still as robust as when it was first made and as such it stands well and solidly.
I cannot stress enough what a superb quality piece this is. It is not too ornate but very elegant and this would add some real class and vintage charm to your fireplace

Disclaimer. Please note we have sold probably over 100 of these and I believe we've only had one where the glass has been broken by the couriers. If this does happen, we will refund you £30. I'm aware most of these screens are sold without glass and you have the option of replacing it. The ones without glass with would all have been glazed originally and I'm afraid it is just part and parcel of life that the glass can get broken. But they are perfectly functional without the glass.
