Superb Top Quality Gleneaton Suitcase Brass Fixings Amazing Internal Wardrobe
The star of this suitcase is the internal wardrobe. Hand on heart I have no idea how this works. The front frame clicks into fittings to the sides of the hangers. The middle frame part also swings out but I do not know the purpose of this.
It is beautifully fitted out with compartments to the four lower sides.
I would guess this is early to mid 20th century.
It is beautifully made and of very good quality.
It is exceedingly robust and well made.
I cannot identify the material. The actual carcass is made of very strong and thick plywood but I do not know what the covering is.
On the whole the exterior condition is very good, obvious wear commensurate with age. It does smell musty

The brass fittings to the right works fine, the left hand one works but the other does not work automatically and it needs to be worked manually.
