I would guess this is early to mid 20th century.
It is beautifully made and of very good quality.
It is exceedingly robust and well made.
I cannot identify the material. The actual carcass is made of very strong and thick plywood but I do not know what the covering is.
On the whole the exterior condition is very good, obvious wear commensurate with age and use but apart from the brass curve to the left of the left hand brass fitments has worked itself loose.
Nicely fitted out although it does smell musty and one of the ‘ties’ is missing.
