It is very unusual to find one of these tables of such a large size. A dazzling amount of work has gone into carving and finishing the table.
Traditionally these fold up, but someone has screwed the legs down to make it more robust. These screws are quite well hidden and can be removed should you wish to take advantage of the folding feature.
It is in very good condition. One piece of the carving has been knocked off previously and been glued back on, the mend is good.
Has a superb brass inlay to the centre of the top and delightful grape and grape foliage carvings.
An amazing piece of workmanship.
