It is aesthetically in very good condition, although the actual handle and the parts of the bobbin are attached they feel loose. I cannot actually get the handle to move around, but this seems to be because there is a lock mechanism whose workings are beyond me. So I am very much selling this as a beautiful decorative piece of Victorian iron work. The case is sturdy and intact with the singer emblem; however, the catch mechanism looks quite tight, and as you can see, there is a substantial watermark.
