Stunning Vintage Victorian Bamboo Plant Stand.
A beautiful distressed Victorian plant stand.
It has a rattan top that is in good condition for the age, but does have some small holes and marks. See images.
Importantly, the base is very stable and intact.
The original finish, which seems to be brown and gold, is worn and someone seems to have rubbed it down a bit. You cold oil and polish it to bring those colours back to life or strip down further. I would leave as is as I think it has a lovely age worn and contemporary finish.
These were imported from the Far East at the end of the 19th century when they were very fashionable.
