This is a beautiful imposing former front of a wardrobe cornice.
It is of absolutely superb quality, being made of solid oak and would have come from an incredibly impressive piece of furniture.
Early 20th century and very much with the art nouveau style decoration.
If you have a grand house with double doors this would look a fantastic decorative addition above this. Let us face it this is not going be for everyone, but this will be for somebody exactly what you're looking for.
To be honest it would actually just look great just attached to the wall, it is what it is it's a amazing decorative piece of oak. It does not have to serve a function.
But wouldn't they look great with some hooks added to them in your hallway or bedroom. Even kitchen.
Obviously to the back you can see where it has been cut down.
As you can see in the images, the condition is very good. There are some signs of wear to the finish and the left hand side there is evidence of word filler and to both corner joints evidence of former repair.
