Splendid Hand Painted 4 ft 6 Double Bed in Farrow and Ball. With Slats.
A smashing 4 ft 6 double bed. It is made od solid pine and is in very good condition.
I bought this at auction, and it had already been painted white. I have applied two further coats of Farrow and Ball Wimborne White Estate Eggshell, which has a soft sheen.
Comes complete with 13 thick slats and screws. There is also some thick wood that runs the full length to the centre to add further strength.
There are eight bolts, bit of a pain to bolt together, best thing is to remove the brass heads and thread the long shaft through the round nut in the stretcher and then thread the shaft through the bed head.
When bolted together the bed is exceedingly robust.
It is in very good condition, it is hand painted so there will be the occasional imperfection
It will fit mattress max size, 74 x 54.
The side of the bed erected is, width 60 in, depth 81 in, heights of ends 34 and 39.5 in.
Farrow and Ball describe Wimborne White as follows-
This just off white is named after the market town of Wimborne in Dorset and home to Farrow & Ball. Only a shade away from a pure white, the addition of the smallest amount of warm yellow pigment creates a very versatile shade which is just a little softer than All White.
