Small vintage Kelaty woollen rug, 100% wool, charming, worn and aged (Old Caucasian)

If you are after a small woollen rug which has an authentic vintage look and feel, then this is the rug for you. Likely made around 1980/90s it is not very old, but it is aged and has signs of use and wear. It does however come with its original pricing label which states it was £400 to buy at the time - made for Kelaty and title Old Caucasian (made in Russia). So priced as this is simply a bargain!

This rug has wonderful deep colours and is rich in the overall opulent feel it gives off. Having said that, this is not a perfect rug. It comes with signs of use and in places there are small holes. It has been brushed, vacuumed and given a spray to freshen it up and make it suitable for us straight away. You may however choose to clean it again yourself.

it is a perfect size for a foot rug, somewhere where your feet go and make marks - this dark rug won't show much dirt. Or perhaps you are looking for something to go under a lamp, by the fireplace, at the entrance to a room. The hessian edge can be stitched to the back or gently cut away. There are some staples in one corner which can be easily removed too.
