Retro String Woven Stool with rustic coloured string and finish

A solid retro woven stool. These were all the rage and now form an essential part of retro décor. Lovely string stool for extra seating capacity, probably for a small person, or a foot stool, footstool, or somewhere to rest all those gubbins you get in a living room.

This particular stool is quirky in that instead of a classic turned set of legs and horizontal joining pieces, it just has the four legs all at a slight angle. So a little more retro in its look rather than a retro take on a traditional oak square stool. Slight A-frame in the legs. Hope that makes sense!

The legs are solid and the seat is very sound. The colours are lovely and earthy – Dark and light brown string, medium brown legs. Obviously being an authentic vintage stool there are signs of wear and age. The legs have been sanded down to give them more of a rustic look and to even out the look of the wood, but the legs are marked and worn in places. All in all though, this stool has fabulous vintage charm and it a super practical item to have around the house.
