Retro mid-century - 1960s original wooden ice bucket - excellent condition, Fen ware, Made in England, bar ware, drinks

Ready for summer? this is a smashing retro, 1970s ice bucket. Delightful wooden crafted exterior - stunning composition of different woods all handworked into an attractive bucket. The detail in the bucket is wonderful. The grains of the wood so visible. In super condition with the inside plastic bucket intact and clean, as is the cork seal on the lid. Perfect for summer cubes! Naturally beautiful and super functional.

The underside has a label confirming the bucket is made in England. Looks like it is Fen Ware. Felt underside to prevent scratching. Likely an expensive piece. The styling of the wooden bucket shape and the angular metal handle is very retro and stylish - likely mid-century 1960s. It is however incredibly well preserved, so don't worry about an old piece of retro tat. This is anything but!

Chrome plated handle has some scratching as you would expect.

The style in this era was minimalist and angular, simple but stylish. Often the use of hardwoods which were polished giving them a sleek appearance.
