This is the perfect retro piece to finish off your living room or bedroom. A wonderful 1970s pouffe made by the famed Sherborne. In excellent condition and just a fab design item with lots of retro fun and charm.
The black leatherette is in great condition it has only the smallest signs of wear all of which are commensurate with age. Some crease or minor dent marks commensurate with faux leather. The bottom is a little stained, but you wouldn’t see this. The piping around the edges, which is normally the first thing to go, looks great still. No cigarette burn marks, also often a sign of retro life!
The inners are solid still, so there is no give when you give the pouffe a push – solid still should you choose to use it as a perch or a stool. So not only attractive but very functional too. It has the Sherborne makers mark on the underside.
Would look great in a retro or contemporary home.
A very handy piece – somewhere for those tired feet to perch, a visiting little person to sit or even the cat to occupy. Of course, probably quite likely to be used for a rest for the cup of coffee, somewhere for a book, laptop or newspaper to lie. A general place for stuff.
