A smashing retro wooden stool with plastic seat - fire engine red. It is in absolutely fantastic condition for its age. Made in Romania back in the 1970s - straight out of the Eastern Block. Light golden wooden frame, and the well preserved plastic to - which can be removed and recovered if required. In good clean condition. VGC.
The red stool has wooden pegs underside to move and enable the seat to be taken out. The made in Romania stamp is there but not terribly visible - I know they are from Romania because of the collection they came from and other stools in the collection had much clearer stamps.
The stool is in fantastic condition considering its age and to have the original plastic seat in it is remarkable - untouched. The wooden frame does show odd signs of age, but nothing to worry about, and the red seat is in great condition.
The stool has been cleaned down, but the underside wood of the seat shows signs of age, will brighten up with a good scrub.
This is a fun and colourful stool. It will definitely bring an element of retro delight to your home or office. Great size to perch upon. Please look at photos and video
