Rare Vintage Victorian Glazed Glass Cupboard With Box Compartment to Top Entryway Furniture.
We are currently using this in our entrance hall, the upper box perfect for keys, gloves etc and the cupboard for shoes. However adaptable for any room in the house. In thirty years of dealing with furniture I have never seen a set-up like this with the box to the top. The lid is the cupboard surface. Obviously.
It is lined with the original blue paper with a crisscross of loose material to the top that you can put notes, reminders etc behind.
It was made in the 1800’s of mahogany. It is superb quality and wood. It originally had feet. Amazing astral glazed doors. There is a crack that has been filled to the trim at the bottom of the doors, to the centre, apart from that it is in very good condition.
The usable heights are 16 inches below and 13 inches above, that is within the cupboard. However the shelf can be removed and there are two other height option within as there are two other shelf supports.
