This is a rare European vintage table lamp. Mid-century. Likely from France or Italy and definitely inspired by Baroque or Neo-Classical revival periods. The ornate carved wooden base gives you that bold, romantic, and state like presentation. The silver painted finish shouts out opulence. It is working and has a new plug, but it has the original wiring. Fabulous vintage, different, attractive lamp.

Superb lamp with the bulbous mody, the painted finish, the candlestick holder top, even keepimg its original felt base. Genuine vintage and romantically European lamp. Perfect for a bedroom, or living room etc. Would carry off all sorts of shades and of course being neutral in colour, would carry off a shade in all sorts of colours.

A real antique finish to this wooden lamp - there are marks and signs of age on the base, none of which seem to matter as they all blend into what is an old lamp, but which is aiming to be seen as even older! The cream candlestick type piece is a quality painted wooden tube, with an aged distressed look too.

At some point the bulb fitment has been changed (would have been an older bakelite fitting), but the wiring remains the original. The original European bakelite plug was on the lamp too, but I have updated it to a new 3 prong plug. It has been insulation tested and is working.
A very attractive and lovely lamp.
