This stylish vintage magazine rack dates from the mid-20th century and embodies the Hollywood Regency and Mid-Century design aesthetic. Has original makers label underside - METALARS made in Italy, handmade - fabulous! Crafted from a gold metal with a warm golden patina, the rack features elegant scrolled side panels with decorative motifs, a sturdy central handle, and splayed feet for stability. Its practical design allows it to fold completely flat when lifted, making it easy to store or transport when not in use.

Perfect for holding magazines, newspapers, or even sheet music, this vintage metal rack combines form and function. The folding mechanism works smoothly, and the rack is lightweight yet robust. The gold surface shows natural patination and light wear consistent with age, giving it an authentic vintage look.

The lovely material on both the two external and internal sides appears to be some sort of velvet or velour - stand to be corrected. It is a greeny yellow which goes so well with the metal finish. Lovely metal embossed detail on either side. Actually in very good condition although slightly marked in places.

Magazine racks can be ever so useful in the modern home. Perhaps not always for their original intended purpose, but certainly one like this is a lovely display piece on its own and could of course also act as storage for so many items - books, cables, tablets, crafts etc. Lovely storage piece.
