An unusual quirky pastel drawing - likely 1980s or 90s. Of a large tree trunk with various antique lanterns around its base and roots, and a gravestone tucked in neatly too. Very unusual. Simple and intriguing. I mean who draws a tree with lanterns coming out its base, and a gravestone? In excellent condition, signed and double mounted in a vintage shabbied silver wooden frame.
Drawn on brown background paper and using shades of browns and oranges in pastel. The mounts are cream and a dull grey making it all in all a little bit gloomy with spurts of orange and yellow in the drawing. Silver shabbied painted frame goes well. Professionally framed and ready to hang.
