This is a lovely and quirky, unusual retro table lamp. A very pretty amber hued glass shade sitting atop a gold metal base, and finished with a gold metal lid. In working condition and actually in vgc overall.
The glass part of this table lamp is akin to a glass ceiling or wall light shade, but it isn't. It is made bespoke for this table lamp and is just so lovely. It has the prettiest of patterns on it, and is a slightly very light orangey colour glass. A little bit pearlescent too perhaps. And in fabulous condition.
The metal top and tail is a very light metal which provides a stand for the shade to sit atop, and also a lid to finish off the whole presentation. The lid lifts off so you can see in side and change the lightbulb, a classic bayonet bulb but possibly a shorter one to keep the light emission close to the bottom of the glass.
The metal pieces are easy to scratch and they have got a few marks commensurate with age. They are not noticeable unless you look up close or are cleaning the pieces. The wire is a gold colour, as is the on off switch. All providing the lovely retro 80s finish to this lamp.
Absolute perfect addition for a living room, dining room or study. A soft hazy orange glow in the corner of a room. A lovely lamp just as pretty and attractive when it is off, as when it is on. Quite unusual! Love it. Sold as working but not professionally tested
