Quirky 1960s 70s large ceramic lamp - wine red, maroon, bottle shape, knicks and maidens motif, working lamp, retro lamp, upcycle

This is a fantastic highly unusual large ceramic lamp. Definitely retro - more for its quirky, out there, style. It is a moulded heavy pottery lamp with a deep purple, wine red, maroon glaze. The motif/decoration moulding on the lamp is a medieval feel scene - knights and maidens depicted around the base. It has othr lovely detail include the mottled speckled finish akin to retro styling. arched windos, loops akin to retro too. The glaze has chipped in quite a few places, I would have thought that a nail polish could easily match to this original deep purple colour if you want to touch up - or this could be a refurb project and you repaint the lamp base. The lamp works, it has its original bayonet and woring so you may wish to change these too. So a little tlc may be needed to make thi svery unusual quirky crazy lamp be the star of the show.
