Quality Vintage Table Lamp with Shade - Glass and Metal base, classical style in excellent condition , working (height 67cm inc shade)

An outstanding vintage lamp in working condition. Quality metal and glass lamp base of very good height. A classical style with metal feet, square metal base, two metal handles at the top of the stem, and metal cap with stunning detail at the top of the glass vase like stem. The metal is a dark antique looking colour and in great conditio - some minor signs commensurate with age, but not a detraction at all. The glass stem/ vase like in shape, surrounds a metal plinth in the middle. Also in great condition with some marks from age. The handles give it a classical, grecian type edge. The lamp base is 47cm tall minus the shade, to the top of the bayonet. The bulb type is straight forward, push in bayonet. The light is working but not professionally tested. The shade is a classic 1980s bell shaped jacquard cream shade. It is a lovely fit for this lamp base, but it could very easily be replaced with something a bit more punchy and grand. A bell, drum, oval, pyramid shaped shade would work well on this lamp, and it can certainly take any colour or pattern/plain combo. The current shade has some minor marking and staining as you would expect but is still good to use. I think the value here is in the stunning lamp base! A fantastic quality addition to any room in your house.
