Quality mid-century pottery lamp from Harvey Nichols, vintage table lamp 1950s, working

I absolutely adore this lamp. It is a quality glazed pottery lamp with a real Italian look and feel to it. It has a label and signature underneath but I can't make it out. It was however bought in 1953 from Harvey Nichols so is very much a classic mid century quality piece. It doesn't have working wiring, so I suggest using it with a cordless rechargeable lightbulb - see photos.

Stunning shape - rounded and curved and yet still a traditional vase shaped table lamp. the curves gives it such warmth and charm. The glazing give it a lustrous white finish, but it is a slightly off white finish, almost like you can see the raw pottery underneath. There are some production marks, but no chips, cracks or crazing.

Wonderful pottery lamp - with a rechargeable bulb it can be used anywhere in your home - just pick it up and put it down where needed. Saves on an expensive rewiring job. However, can of course be rewired if you choose. Rechargeable bulbs - standard bayonet one - can be bought online very easily (not included in the sale).

Would look wonderful with a lovely traditional shaped shade or something more modern. Bearing in mind it is from the 1950s (see the label underside where the buyer denotes this) it could look rather smashing with a retro or mid century shade too. Or at least a vintage shape but jazzed up modern fabric. Wow!
