Large Vintage Stripped Ash Wall Mirror
an early 20th century ash wall mirror.
This originally came from a huge dressing table and you'll see to the sides that the original axis holes where the brass movement was have been filled.
Ash is a beautiful hardwood with a sort of pine of grain but of far superior quality and at some point this was being stripped and I have added a coat of Danish oil.
The frame is well preserved and in good condition.
The mirror has a number of blemishes behind the glass where the silver has aged. I have tried to show these in the image where the skies reflected to show these. The reflection is of course fine but that's all areas of dark blotchiness and spotting. This does give it a real vintage charm and adds character and authenticity but is certainly not for everyone.
It has a solid wood backing, that all a couple of very thin pieces missing.
