Pair Vintage Retro Lladro Bedtime Character Porcelain Lamps - Going to Bed, Kiss Me Goodnight - PAT tested, Excellent condition

Wonderful bedtime lamp by Lladro, Zaphir. Gorgeous pale pastel colour pallette and delicate porcelain. I think the 'names' of the lamps are Going to Bed - sweet little child with pillow and alarm clock, and Kiss Me Goodnight - sweet child puckering up their lips and closing their eyes. Delightfully pretty and beautifully crafted table lamps from the 1970s. Perfect for a nursery or child's bedroom. Or a room with a gentle calming decor. Definitely brings a feeling of calm and peace to a bedroom.

Handcrafted in Spain, these lamps were produced under the Zaphir brand, a lesser-known but significant offshoot of the renowned Lladro company. Zaphir was established by Lladro in the 1970s as a way to experiment with slightly different porcelain compositions and sculptural styles while maintaining the delicate, ethereal quality that Lladro is known for. Though the brand was eventually absorbed back into Lladro, Zaphir pieces remain highly collectible.

These lamps are absolutely lovely and in superb condition. There is a plastic lightbulb fitment at the top, which has a bit of wear, on one and the other has the original nickel fitment. Both have on off switches, one is a bit tight. The actual porcelain on both however is undamaged. The undersides a little worn, but are exceptional quality for lamps which are close on 50 yrs old.

Size : 41cm tall, 16.5cm long base, 13cm wide base; the other 39cm tall and 16cm wide. Same height without the lightbulb fitments, so essentially will stand the same height with shades on them.
