A smashing pair of retro wooden stools with plastic seats - fire engine red. They are in absolutely fantastic condition for their age. Made in Romania back in the 1970s - straight out of the Eastern Block. Light golden wooden frame, and the well preserved plastic tops - which can be removed and recovered if required. In good clean condition. VGC.
The red stools have wooden pegs underside to move and enable the seat to be taken out. The made in Romania stamp is there but not terribly visible - I know they are from Romania because of the collection they came from and other stools in the collection had much clearer stamps.
In great condition - yes there are signs of wear and tear on the wooden frames. And the plastic seats are in great shape but of course the seats are not brand new and there are signs of age, but they are really good -one note - on one red seat there are some scratching marks and a black spot. In certain lights the scratching is more noticeable. The stools have all been cleaned down, but the underside wood of the seat shows signs of age, will brighten up with a good scrub.
These are fun and colourful stools. They will definitely bring an element of retro delight to your home or office. Great size to perch upon.
