An unusual pair of rather wonderful chairs, made in a style similar to a monk's bench. The back swivels around to form a surface, which is a handy feature that essentially converts a chair into a side or coffee table.

They appear to have been fairly recently reupholstered, with the fabric still in very good condition, although the hem is slightly loose in places.

The backing surfaces are far from perfect; however, the bases are both in very good condition. There is a piece of wood missing from the bottom of one of the feet, but it’s not very noticeable due to its location and certainly does not affect the chair's strength.

The surfaces move on dowels that glide along slots in the arms. On one surface, the four planks are firmly in place but not attached to each other, which causes them to rattle slightly. However, this does not affect their practicality for use as either chair backs or table surfaces, albeit imperfect. The other surface is properly attached but has a black mark and some other surface blemishes.

These chairs are both attractive and quirky. As with any dual-purpose furniture, they are also highly practical.

I am selling these on the basis that there are problems with the surfaces.

This will be delivered by hand by a proper furniture courier.
Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales only.
There will be a cost anywhere else so please, contact us for a quote.
This will cost us between £60-80 so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
It will take about 2 weeks.
