Pair of Signed Vintage Idyllic English Landscape Prints The Meadows at Lake Ufford Heath near Ipswich CH Collen
The titles are written by a scribe, the signature is by the artist. Both in pencil.
The mount is thin card and hand-lined. There is sporadic foxing to the mounts.
Both of the delightful prints are in great conditions.
Both are glazed.
The carcass of the frames are pine with a moulded gesso covering. Original glossy black finish.
As you can see in the images, there is damage to the frames where the finish and in places the gesso have been compromised and removed, so very much shabby chic! However, they are solid.
An eyelet to the Ufford print is broken, the other three intact, so Ipswich is ready for hanging.
Certainly pre-war and absolutely charming.
