A pair of classic mid-century modern kitchen or dining chairs, very chic with clean lines and of fine quality. They are very well built and well preserved.
The frames feature clean, angular lines with rounded edges typical of mid-century modern design.
The chairs are constructed from solid wood, almost certainly beech, which has a light-toned appearance. The backrests are gently curved plywood with visible wood grain, giving them an organic feel.
The seats are upholstered in blue vinyl faux leather. The padding is modest but sufficient for comfort and period-appropriate.
The legs are straight with a slight taper, contributing to the retro minimalist aesthetic. There is no obvious bracing between the legs, true to the lightweight, floating appearance common in 1950s–60s dining furniture. The chairs are sturdy and structurally sound with no obvious repairs. The vinyl shows very minimal light surface wear, but there are no tears, cracks, or punctures.
The various woods are all very well preserved. There are some minor scuffs and other signs of wear, but as you can see in the images, they are very well preserved.
