Showing here all a couple of rather wonderful long Edwardian painted mirrors.
It is very unusual to find a pair of vintage mirrors and pairs always look so good near to each other.
The two mirrors would originally have been the side mirrors to a huge magnificent Edwardian dressing table. The holes for the hinges being well filled and disguised.
I'm selling these as I found them as other people like to apply their own colour and finish and it will save me painting them! Currently they have a white gloss which on one of the mirrors has been chipped in a number of places. You can see on the mirror that has been chipped to the top left there has been a repair and it is not completely in sync, however it is a sound repair and solid.
The mirrors will either be made of walnut or mahogany so are of very good quality.
Thick original bevelled glass, there are some areas of black especially towards the bottom of the mirror that again has the chips. To the other mirror there is a sort of funny cloudy effect which does not ruin the reflection at all and in fact adds some character and authenticity I would say.
Yes, they do need some work, but they are a couple of stunning mirrors and as thin mirrors so easy to place within a house.
They have a boarded backing and chains which you may well want to cut down.
