I think you would be hard pushed to think of such a famous pair of British vintage car doors.
Surely the last time wood was ever used for the exterior of an automobile.
I would date them from the 50s or the 60s.
I'm old enough to remember seeing people stripping these down and restoring them whilst they were still going concerns.
This has certainly being stripped at some point and a thick glossy finish applied.
The glass is intact.
Only three of the four hinges remain in situ.
The cream painted panel is just a sheet of metal and they are original and show just how basic these were.
There are lots of photographs so take a good look at them, the condition on the whole is good, there are no serious flaws to these doors except marks and wear commensurate with age. Of course you will see the Morris Minor logo is not intact.
If you are really clever you could probably build a cupboard out of these but I would imagine these are going to end up on somebody's wall. These are iconic and collectible doors and as such will make great statement pieces or doubtless if you are very genius you can think of something pretty clever to do with them.
Of course you may want these for your Morris Minor restoration!
