Outstanding Large Cherub Vintage Decorative Marble and Brass Gold Table Lamp. Working.
A stunning mid-20th century working table lamp. A classy and beautiful lamp with a beautiful cherub decoration to the centre.
The decorative base seems to be a brass base metal covered in a gilt painted finish which has worn in places so it has a bit of a mishmash age worn look in appearance with the dulled brass and the bright gilt paint.
The beautiful grasping cherub section is brass with no covering.
White marble, it has previously had a lacquer to it which made it look more creamy, however, this has worn to the central section and part worn to the bottom section which is white in places and cream in others.
Needless to say, this is very heavy so stands very well.
I have put a new plug on this and it works perfectly well, obviously you can upgrade the wiring and get it checked by an electrician. The wire is also newer and the bayonet original.
