Outstanding Pair of Vintage Bird of Paradise Embroidery Pictures in Ornate Gold Frames.
This is a really striking pair of beautiful 1970s or 80s oriental embroideries.
They are both set within beautiful gold frames with black highlights.
Both are glazed.
The frames are wooden and are pierced to enhance the decoration. They are covered in a moulded composite and then the current finish. The frames are in very good condition, there is a piece of gesso missing to the top right of one of the frames and you can see the red underneath.
The embroideries are absolutely stunning beautiful colours and beautiful detail, the work that has gone into these is simply breathtaking.
I hope you can make out in the images that material, silk or cotton I am not sure, is stained and discoloured in various places. In many ways this is actually not too bad a thing, as they have a lovely age worn look to them and adds some authenticity. However if you want them to be perfect then these are not for you and I have priced accordingly.
Boarded backing with eyelets and string.
